Getting started with us

  • One Degree Design works with small businesses, founders, and individuals who care about presenting their ideas clearly and thoughtfully.

Most clients come with a idea of what they want to communicate, but aren’t entirely sure how — that’s were we come in.

  • Short Answer:

    Not at all.

    Long Answer:

Some clients come with a detailed brief, others arrive with a loose idea or a feeling they want to capture.

Part of the process is helping shape and clarifying your vision before it becomes visual.

  • Short Answer:

Most projects fall within a 2–4 week timeframe from kickoff.

    Long Answer:

Smaller pieces, such as business cards, may be completed sooner when all content and approvals are provided promptly.

Timelines are always confirmed before work begins.

  • Short Answer:

You can start by getting in touch through the contact form or email.

    Long Answer:

We’ll chat briefly about your goals, timeline, and scope to make sure the project feels like a good fit.

From there, we’ll discuss the next steps and navigate your project together.

  • Short Answer:

    That’s completely okay.

    Long Answer:

We guide you through the process step by step and explain things in plain language along the way.

You’ll always know what’s happening, what’s needed from you, and what comes next.

During the design process

  • Short Answer:

As involved as you’d like to be.

    Long Answer:

Some clients enjoy being hands-on with feedback and direction, while others prefer to check in at key milestones.

Either way, collaboration is built into the process and you’ll never be left guessing.

  • Short Answer:

This depends on the scope of the project.

    Long Answer:

In most cases, you’ll receive a small number of considered concepts rather than many rough options.

This approach allows for deeper thinking, clearer direction, and more meaningful refinement not just a flurry of options.

  • Short Answer:

    Generally, no.

    Long Answer:

We don’t usually fast-track projects, as our process is designed to give each client the care and focus they deserve.

In rare cases, priority scheduling may be available depending on workload and scope, and is quoted separately.

Wrapping up a project

  • Approval confirms that the direction and design meet the agreed brief. If you later decide you’d like a different direction, this would be treated as a new project or extension of scope.

  • Once a project is marked as complete, it’s considered final.

If you’d like to make further changes or build on the design, I’m happy to discuss a new, clearly scoped update.

  • Short Answer:

    Yes.

    Long Answer:

Once the project is complete and final payment is made, ownership of the final approved designs is transferred to you.

  • Short Answer:

    Yes, for business cards.

    Long Answer:

Although we do cover design and printing for business cards, asset files for ongoing support work are print ready and digital only.

Print services for digital assets incur additional fees.

  • Your website will be built within your own Squarespace account and you will retain ownership and access.

Once the final payment is settled, we will help you connect your purchased domain to the website we’ve designed.

Please allow up to 48 hours for online servers to connect the domain to the website.
